mountain hideaway Because this custom home is located in snow country, the trusses needed to adapt to heavy snow loads. The connection between the trusses and exterior beam were carefully detailed and designed to include a mirrored steel plate [hidden from view], which would allow the trusses freedom of movement. Therefore, the glass wall [doors below and windows above] were tied to the posts, rather than the trusses.
